Isnad · for teaching and trainingBETA

Your whole course in front of you — from the first lecture to the last certificate.

Your institution runs the material, lectures, assignments, attendance and marking from one place. The trainer knows what is due, the trainee knows what they have done, and the administration follows every group and can go back to its record when needed. In the lecture everyone moves through the pages of the same material, so the page explained today stays a clear reference in the assignment and the revision after it.

Isnad for teaching and training is in beta: the platform runs, and we are now opening the first operating trials with institutions. Whoever joins at this stage shapes it to their own size.

A day in a course

From opening the course to a certificate someone else can verify

One course, as it actually runs — in a training centre, a school, or a university department. Each step leaves behind the thing the next one stands on.

  1. The institution · system administrator

The course opens inside your own tree

University, faculty, department — or a centre and its branches. The course hangs where it belongs, so the head of department sees it by virtue of position rather than by being added to it one course at a time. Move a department and what its people can see moves with it, at once.

Result: who can see the course, and who runs it
  2. The trainer · the office

Three ways in, all issued by you

A named invitation, a group code whose every place is used once, or an open code for a public course that you close when you choose. There is no self-service signup from the street, and a phone number is never a login.

Result: a roster where every name has someone who let them in
  3. The material

Slides, PDFs and video — one numbered body of material

What you upload becomes pages with numbers that are published once and then do not move: anything inserted later takes a suffix — 12, then 12.1 — instead of pushing everything after it down. A video is one page cited at a moment, «7 @ 00:12:34». Search is Arabic-aware, and a scan is read so it can be found while staying marked as a machine's reading.

Result: a reference to «page 12» that is still true a term later
  4. The lecture

One page in front of the room

Whoever is teaching turns the page for everyone and hands the floor to a colleague by name; anyone may read ahead on their own, and the room is told. Ask a question mid-lecture and each answer is a secret from the rest of the room until the question closes.

Result: a shared page during the lecture, with answers that help the trainer gauge understanding
  5. Attendance

Online by the connection, in the room by a code

The connection is the attendance: close a laptop and the departure is recorded without anyone announcing it, and two devices at once are one attendance. In the room a member of staff scans the trainee's code — never the trainee, and that difference is what makes it evidence of the room rather than of holding a code.

Result: documented minutes of attendance, from which the course hours are counted
  6. Assignments and marking

A deadline that means something, and a mark with a name behind it

An assignment with a deadline, one hand-in per trainee, and after the deadline a submission is refused rather than quietly accepted. A machine, if you use one, proposes a mark and never sets it: the proposal is invisible to the person it is about, and counts towards nothing, until a human adopts it in their own name.

Result: marks it is possible to stand behind
  7. Follow-up and points

Whoever is falling behind is known before the course ends

Draw a line at 50% and the list appears — with those who handed in nothing and those nobody has marked yet — and follow-up work goes out to them in one press. Points are derived from the same record with weights you set, and every trainee sees their own name and everyone else as a number.

Result: an intervention in time, not a report afterwards
  8. The certificate

A document that does not need a phone call to confirm

Issued to whoever reaches the attendance you require, stating the course hours with the time actually attended beside them. Anyone can verify it by dropping in the file itself: its fingerprint is computed inside their own browser and the file is sent nowhere — and there is no public directory anyone can search for who trained where.

Result: a certificate that others can verify from the original file

What the institution gets

Three outcomes from one course

1

Clear material for trainer and trainee

Numbered pages whose numbers do not move, and video cited to the moment. The page explained in the lecture is the same page in the assignment and the revision.

2

Follow-up on attendance, assignments and marks

Attendance online and in the room computed from the event log, assignments with deadlines, marks a named person adopts, and a list of who is falling behind before the course ends.

3

A record and a certificate you can go back to

Who attended each intake and when, read a year later as it was on the day. And a certificate stating the hours and the attendance, which anyone can verify from the file's fingerprint.

Try it here · Teach, and the record writes itself

Attendance is not typed in. It is derived from the log.

A 60-minute lecture: Sara is online, Basem is in the room. Press «what happened next» and watch the log grow while the attendance is recomputed from the beginning every single time.

Two devices at once are one attendance, and a gap in the middle stays a gap. None of it is written into a field: it is derived from the event log, every time the question is asked. Attendance here means presence in the lecture, not a measure of attention.

Prepared data, for this page — the rule doing the counting is the platform's own.

And this one too

Points follow your rules, not ours

Five sources make up a trainee's points, and their weights are yours. Move the weights and watch the order change — none of it is stored, all of it is computed from the course record each time it is opened.

# Trainee On time Mark Lectures Answers Points

This is the trainee's own view: themselves by name, and everyone else as a number that stays the same inside this one course. A standing they can find themselves in without reading anyone else's marks.

Who this is for

From one group to an institution with many branches

What changes is the size of the tree above it, and who owns what inside it. A trainer runs their group easily, inside the institution that holds the contract and the data.

The training centre

Branches, trainers, intakes

Branches under the institution, trainers with their own remit, and an intake that opens, closes and is then archived. Asked a year later who attended it, the answer is the one written on the day.

University and faculty

Faculty, department, course

A real tree: the head of department sees their department's courses by position, and moving a department moves what its people can see. The words are yours — «course», «lecture», «student» — not ours.

The school

Classes and groups

Each class with its own material, lectures and assignments; a teacher sees their class, the administration sees the school. What a parent sees is arranged with the school, because an international school and a state school do not want the same thing.

Corporate training

Programmes for the institution's own staff

A training department inside a company or a government body: programmes for its staff, attendance that is computed, and certificates others can verify — inside the institution's own tree and permissions.

Professional accreditation

Hours that count

A course that states its hours, attendance derived from the event log beside them, and a certificate carrying both and verified by its fingerprint. That is what an accrediting body asks about — not how many people enrolled.

Teaching on Isnad's own foundation

What Isnad covers, and what is arranged with your institution

Teaching and training run on Isnad's shared foundation of files, documents, permissions, interaction and the record, and add what a course needs: groups, lectures, assignments, attendance, marks and certificates.

What the platform stands on

  • Your own tree: faculties and departments, or branches, with authority that reaches down it
  • Joining by named invitation, by group code, or by an open code
  • Numbered material whose numbers do not move, and video cited at a moment
  • Arabic search that matches a word as it appears, and reading of scans
  • A live lecture: one page, a floor handed over by name, a question solved during it
  • Attendance online and in the room, derived from the event log
  • Assignments with deadlines, one hand-in, and a mark a human adopts
  • Follow-up for whoever fell behind, and points and badges on your weights
  • Certificates issued and revoked, verified by anyone from the file's fingerprint
  • An access log you can review, and closing and archiving a course
  • An Arabic/English interface in your institution's own terms

And what is shaped with your institution

  • A link to your own financial systems for subscriptions and sales
  • What a parent sees, when, and in how much detail
  • Certificate templates in your own identity
  • Accrediting-body reports and their export
  • A link to the meeting tools you already run
  • A mobile application for the trainee
  • Installation in your environment or local hosting, under an agreed operating scope
  • Single sign-on and two-factor authentication
  • And what you see that we do not

Questions before you start

What does Isnad not do in teaching?

Isnad is an environment for material, attendance and a record — not an examinations platform. Every line here is a choice with a reason behind it, said before the meeting rather than after it.

  • No question bank and no timed exams — the live question during a lecture is built and works; an automatically marked examination is not. Anyone who needs one today needs a different product.
  • No proctoring and no camera watching a face — and no intention of building one. What is measured here is attendance and hand-ins, not a person's behaviour in front of their screen.
  • No machine that sets a mark — a machine proposes, a human adopts in their own name, and what has not been adopted is invisible to the person it is about and counts towards nothing.
  • No live audio or video inside it — the lecture uses a Zoom or Meet link for sound and picture, while Isnad syncs the pages of the material and computes attendance. It does not replace the meeting tool.
  • Selling and subscriptions are not part of the teaching environment — a course is opened and people are let into it. How you sell your courses is arranged with your own financial systems, not inside an environment made for material, attendance and a record.
  • A student's report goes to their teacher and their institution — not to a third party who reads it without anyone knowing when. Who else is let in after that, and how much they see, is arranged with the institution itself.
  • And an invitation is handed over by you — a link or a code, with notifications living inside the platform. The default came from an environment where an email must not carry the name of a case; what suits a school or a training centre is arranged with you. It is a default, not a doctrine.
